As part of the world renowned Intercontinental Hotel in Toronto’s exclusive Yorkville neighborhood, Signatures Restaurant was transformed by MAPA into a posh, bright, elegant, yet comfortable venue. Taking into consideration the usage preferences and needs of the modern traveler and business traveler client base, MAPA created multiple types of seating arrangements within the restaurant space: from banquet seating for single diners, to communal seating in the centre, to large rounded booth seating off to the sides. Added to this, there is a lounge like area in a sunken portion of the restaurant surrounded by floor to ceiling windows and overlooking the terrace - making for a perfect area to sip champagne while waiting for your date or having morning coffee while preparing for your meeting.
Another key element in the space is the bar area which will also serve as a showcase for guest chef appearances, culinary classes and other offerings for diners to enjoy. Tucked next to the bar is an intimate private dining room for small group meetings or special occasions.
While providing a bright ambiance for daytime diners, the lighting interplays with the space in the evening to create a soft and warm setting for a quiet dinner or drink.
The overall palette hints on soft and pale chartreuse to sage, and warm grey mauves with shades of white, combining to create an uplifting and elegant new restaurant experience.
