Urban Loft
Private Residence
Location // Old Toronto // Toronto
Area // 153m2 // 1650 sqft
Located in Toronto Canada, the Client for this particular private one bedroom loft residence occupies two floors. The request was to design a space with minimal walls, keeping the space as open as possible and to accentuate linearity. MAPA delivered an interior by placing the utility spaces towards the entrance of the space which allowed the areas used for relaxing and entertaining open and airy, towards the double-height full-glazed wall. The extension of the living space leads to a main floor balcony where the design language continues to the exterior, maintaining the notion that the interior and exterior are considered a sum of the parts. This philosophy is further enhanced through the built-in millwork, fixture placement and furnishings.
